TikTok Content Posting API · app audited and approved

The TikTok upload method for edits: your file, untouched, through the official API

Post from your PC. The MP4 you exported goes to TikTok byte for byte through TikTok's own Content Posting API, so the app never re-encodes it on the way up and your 60 fps stays 60 fps. Free for 10 posts a month, no card. Connect TikTok and post your first edit.

Why editors upload this way

When you post from the phone app, the app transcodes your export before it leaves the device: a second H.264 encode, often at a lower bitrate, sometimes dropping to 30 fps. That is the smear and the lost frames you see on an edit that looked clean in After Effects or Alight Motion. Every workaround that goes around the app (renamed files, old APKs, Discord relays, Telegram bots, compressor sites) is a patch on that one step.

The official API skips the step. TikTok lets an approved app send the file straight to its servers as a direct post. What lands is the file you exported. TikTok still builds its own playback versions, like it does for every video, but it builds them from your full-quality source instead of a phone re-encode.

Byte for byteThe exact MP4 you drop is what TikTok receives. No re-encode, no watermark, no size squeeze.
60 fps keptFrame rate, resolution and bitrate arrive as exported. Same for 4K sources, TikTok picks what it serves.

How to post an edit, 3 steps

  1. Connect TikTok. Open the PostWire dashboard, sign in with Google, press TikTok. TikTok's own login page asks you to allow posting. One time.
  2. Drop the file. In Compose, drop the MP4. Big files go up in chunks from your browser. You pick the caption and who can see it (everyone, friends, only you). TikTok's rules apply as usual: you choose the visibility, and the post appears on your account with no "posted via" label.
  3. Post. It publishes right away or at the time you set. The post link comes back when TikTok finishes processing, usually under a minute.

Where PostWire goes further than the other API tools: twice the free posts (10 against 5), the same file goes to YouTube Shorts and Instagram in the same click when you connect them, scheduling is on every plan including Free, and your agent or script can post through the REST API or MCP as well.

Questions editors ask

Does PostWire touch the file at all?
No. Your browser uploads it in chunks to PostWire's storage, PostWire streams those exact bytes to TikTok's Content Posting API, and the copy is deleted the day after the post goes out. There is no transcode step anywhere in between.
Will the post say "posted via PostWire"?
No label is added to your video or caption. The post looks like any other on your profile.
Can I post as private first and check it?
Yes. Pick "only me" when posting, watch it in the app, then switch it to everyone from TikTok. Many editors do this for the first upload.
Does the file size limit mean lower quality?
Free takes files up to 100 MB, which covers a 1080p60 edit of about a minute at 12 Mbps. Longer or heavier exports fit in Starter's 1 GB per file.
Is it only TikTok?
No. The same upload can go to YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, Facebook, Bluesky, Telegram, Discord and more. Free sends each post to 2 networks.
What does Starter add for $9?
1,000 posts a month, 1 GB files, every network per post, 3 brands, AI captions, 14-day refund. Cancel from the dashboard in one click.
