Changelog

What changed in PostWire, day by day: the API, the MCP server and connectors, the n8n node and the dashboard. Breaking changes are announced here first.

October 8, 2026

  • ChangedThe free trial of Pro is now 7 days, with a card at checkout: nothing is charged that day. On day 7 the card is charged $29 (then $29 a month) unless you cancel before, and cancelling during the trial costs nothing. The checkout page says the date and the amount of the first charge, and we email you the day before with both and a one-click cancel link. One trial per person.
  • ChangedThe 7 days of Pro without a card (from Oct 7) are no longer started. Accounts already in one keep it to its end, with its emails, and are not charged anything.
  • ImprovedWhile a trial runs, every screen of the dashboard says the days left and the amount and date of the first charge, with Cancel trial (Stripe's own cancel page) and Manage billing next to it.

October 7, 2026

  • NewPro for 7 days, no card: your first post turns on Pro (every network in each post, no cap on posts or on the queue, every What works pattern, Replicate and variations, and more AI drafts for those days). It goes back to Free on its own after 7 days; there is nothing to cancel and nothing is charged. Once per person. X is not part of it. If you already publish on Free, your next post or the next free limit you hit starts it.
  • NewWhile it runs, Home shows the days left and what Pro did for your account with your own numbers (posts sent to more networks than Free allows, posts past Free's monthly amount, AI drafts). On day 5 an email says the same and exactly what changes when it ends; a last one the day it ends.
  • ChangedWhen the trial ends nothing is deleted: scheduled posts past Free's queue are held, not failed, and go out as planned the moment you upgrade; brands made during the trial past Free's count keep their connections, posts and stats and are paused for publishing until an upgrade. API: GET /api/trial and POST /api/trial/start; GET /api/me says trial, trial_ended and reverse_trial_offer.
  • NewPosting for a business or clients? When a free account connects 3 or more networks, runs 2 brands or looks for a teammate, the dashboard shows one card about approvals (nothing goes out until someone signs off: per network, or when a post has a link, a price or a word from your list) and the team (Starter 3 seats, Pro 25, with roles and per-brand access). If the account can still have the 7-day Pro trial, the card starts it right away, before your first post, with no card; otherwise it opens Starter's checkout, with Pro next to it. "Not now" hides it for good. API: GET /api/me says bizcard; POST /api/trial/start with from "bizcard". From Claude, my_account says the same in one line.
  • FixedPressing Back after connecting a network could send you back through that network's sign-in screen, and the dashboard then said the connection had failed although it had worked (a real user saw it with LinkedIn on 6-oct). PostWire now recognises a sign-in that already finished and shows it as connected.
  • ImprovedWhen Instagram refuses because the account is personal, the dashboard and the connect link page now show the three steps to fix it (switch to a professional account — free, about a minute —, link a Facebook Page, come back), a link to the illustrated guide and one "I switched, connect again" button. A sign-in that took too long or was opened in another browser now says so in plain words, with a Connect again button.

October 6, 2026

  • ChangedAI drafts now have a monthly amount on every plan, written on /pricing: Free about 20 a month (up to 5 a day), Starter about 30, Pro about 60, Agency about 150, Scale about 330. An AI draft is one idea written for every network you pick; the month is a budget, so a draft to two networks uses less of it than one to ten. It renews on the 1st (UTC). This applies to every account, current customers included. Publishing, scheduling and What works never stop when AI drafts do.
  • NewAI credit packs: about 40 AI drafts for $5 or about 190 for $20, a one-time payment, used after the month's drafts; they do not expire, and a refunded payment takes back what is left of its pack. Buy them in Settings & plan, or from the link in the answer when the month's drafts are used up (code ai_month_limit, which also names the plan above). GET /api/ai, GET /api/me and the MCP tool my_account show about how many AI drafts are left.
  • NewPostWire Coach on Home, on every plan: your results the day after you post — your best post of the week against your own usual on that network (with the sample size) and what it had, your streak, posts this week against a goal you pick in one click (grow an audience, get clients, sell a product or build a personal brand), views or interactions against the week before, follower change where the network shares it, milestones, and the one next move. Computed from your own numbers with fixed rules: no AI, nothing promised. Networks that do not share numbers are named, never shown as zero. API: GET /api/coach.
  • NewToday's next best post: a ready-to-edit idea in the opening and format your own posts back, for your goal, with the best time from your data (or Sprout Social's published benchmark, named, until you have 8 measured posts). Write it yourself, or with one click use one of the AI drafts your plan already includes.
  • NewFirst-line check in Compose: each network's version scored as you type — the kind of opening, how much the network shows before it cuts, warm-up openers, hashtags, links and capitals up front — with the fixes. Rules only, no AI. API: POST /api/coach/hook.
  • NewRepost the winner: when a post beats your usual, one click opens it in Compose fitted to the connected networks it has not been on (length and hashtags per network); you review before anything goes out.
  • NewShare my week: a 1080x1080 image of your week in numbers with a caption, to post or download. The public link carries only those numbers. API: POST /api/coach/share.
  • ImprovedThe Monday email is now "What worked for you": your own numbers for the week, your best post and what it had, and your next three moves. Your email preferences and one-click unsubscribe apply as before.
  • ChangedMore posts on every paid plan, same prices: Starter goes from 300 to 1,000 posts a month, and Pro, Agency and Scale are now unlimited posts with a published fair use (Pro up to 10,000 a month and 500 a day, Agency 50,000 and 2,000, Scale 150,000 and 7,500). Every limit is in one table at /pricing/#fair-use, in the docs and in the terms — nothing hidden.
  • NewYearly billing on every paid plan, 20% off: Starter $86.40 a year, Pro $278.40, Agency $950.40, Scale $2,870.40. Switch between monthly and yearly from Settings at any time (prorated); the 14-day refund applies to both, and the 3-day Pro trial can start on either.
  • NewEvery fair-use limit answers with its own code, the number and when it resets: daily_limit, throttled (a sudden spike, paused until the hour ends), media_egress_limit and media_upload_limit, queue_full, too_many_concurrent. GET /api/usage and /api/me show today's posts and the month's media against the plan.
  • ChangedMonthly and current customers keep exactly what they pay today; nothing moves to yearly unless you choose it.
  • NewFounding 50: PostWire Pro billed yearly at $199 for the first 50 customers, until the deadline on /founding/. The price stays $199 for as long as that subscription is active (a yearly subscription, not a one-time deal); paid upfront, no trial, full refund within 14 days. The page shows the live seat count, the same count the checkout enforces. Founding accounts have Pro's limits except two, stated on the page: 60 X credits a month and an AI budget of about 50 multi-network drafts a month (AI credit packs add more).
  • ChangedPartner program: 30% of every payment for each customer's first 12 months, recurring (it was the first 3 months); 40% for the customers of a month with 5 or more, over the same 12 months. A yearly payment counts whole. It applies to customers partners already brought too. Terms: /partners/terms/.

October 5, 2026

  • NewBulk upload: drop a CSV in Automate (or send it to POST /api/bulk, or use the MCP tool bulk_schedule) and every row is checked first — its time in its own timezone, each network's length as that network counts it, media links that answer, approvals and the X credits it will use, with the line number of anything to fix. Then all of it is scheduled, or none of it. Per-network text and media, LinkedIn's first comment, the X reply and thread, next_slot, a brand per row. The same file twice is refused, and one click undoes a whole upload. Rows per upload: Free 20, Starter 500, Pro 1,000, Agency 2,000, Scale 5,000. Docs: /docs/automation/.
  • NewRecurring posts, on every paid plan: daily, weekly on some days or monthly (the 31st falls on the last day of shorter months), every N days, weeks or months, at up to 4 times a day in your timezone, until a date or a number of times. Add versions of the text and they rotate. The duplicate guard skips a network where the same text went out in the last days you choose. Occurrences sit in the queue a week ahead: edit or cancel one, or edit them all. MCP tool create_recurring_post.
  • NewRSS feeds to posts: add a blog, newsletter or YouTube feed and each new item is posted from a template ({title}, {link}, {summary}) fitted to each network without ever cutting the link — right away, in the next free queue slot, or after approval. Optionally written per network with AI, from the plan's AI drafts a day (no extra charge). Read as often as every 30 minutes; what is already in the feed when you add it is not posted.
  • NewX threads: per_platform.x.thread takes up to 25 posts after the first, each published as a reply to the one before, and options.x.reply adds one post under the last, the usual place for a link. Each post uses X credits like any X post and counts toward the daily X limit; the whole thread is reserved before the first post goes out, and the draft says what it will use ("This thread uses 13 X credits: 4 X posts, 1 with a link."). In the dashboard composer, the MCP tools and the API. Docs: /docs/x/.
  • NewIf X refuses a later post of a thread, the posts before it stay up and the rest is retried on its own from the last post that went out, never re-posting the first; after 3 tries it is marked failed with X's reason and the credits of the posts that never went out come back.
  • ImprovedApproval rules read every post of an X thread and its reply (a link in any of them counts as "contains a link"), and the approval page shows the thread post by post.

October 4, 2026

  • NewX (Twitter), as a pay-per-use add-on of the paid plans (not Free, not the trial). Posts use X credits: 1 per post, 10 when it has a link, 1 more per image or video. Every month Starter includes 30, Pro 150, Agency 600 and Scale 2,000; top-ups are 80 credits for $5 or 340 for $20. The draft shows what a post will use before it goes out. MCP tool get_x_credits.
  • NewContinue with Google, on sign-up and sign-in. PostWire asks Google only for your name, email address and picture: never Gmail or Drive.
  • NewApprovals: per brand, hold posts until someone approves them, by where they come from (dashboard, API, AI agents, n8n/Make/Zapier), by network, or when they contain a link, a price or a word from your list. The approval page shows each network's version and lets you approve all or some networks, edit, pick a new time or reject with a reason. On Pro and above, a client can approve from a link without a PostWire account. An API key or an AI agent can never approve. Docs: /docs/approvals/.
  • NewLimits per API key and per connected AI app: a monthly post cap, allowed networks and brands, and "every post from it waits for approval".
  • NewActivity log: posts published, failed and canceled, approvals, keys, settings changes and X credits spent, with the source of each, filterable and exportable as CSV.
  • NewOne-line setup for any agent: tell it "set up https://postwire.io/SKILL.md" and it connects PostWire and finishes with your first post live. Setup guides for Codex, GitHub Copilot, Windsurf and Gemini CLI on /mcp/.
  • NewEvery page of the site is also available as Markdown, at the same address plus .md or with Accept: text/markdown.
  • New/about/ and /security/ pages, and /.well-known/security.txt for reporting a vulnerability.
  • NewCreator and affiliate program at /creators/.
  • ChangedThe delivery rate on the homepage and /status/ counts customers' posts only (it included PostWire's own accounts and test runs) and separates the failures PostWire caused from the ones a network or an account caused.

October 3, 2026

  • NewWebhooks: post.published, post.failed (one per network) and connection.reauth_required, signed with HMAC-SHA256, retried for two days, with a delivery log and a test button. On every plan. Docs: /docs/webhooks/.
  • NewPublic status page at /status/ (and /api/status): the API, the MCP server, scheduled publishing, and the delivery success rate of each network over 30 days, counted live from production.
  • NewThis changelog, with an RSS feed.
  • NewThe MCP server has two more tools, now 17: get_post_performance (your posts ranked against your own median on each network) and replicate_top_post (drafts modelled on a best post, paid plans). Instagram posts are measured by likes and comments; Instagram views and Facebook numbers need Meta permissions PostWire does not have, and are listed as not measurable, never as zero.
  • NewQueue slots: send run_at "next_slot" (API, the MCP tool schedule_post, or "Next free slot" in the dashboard) and the post takes its brand's next free slot. Each network has weekly slots in the brand's timezone, with defaults, editable in Queue → Queue slots or with PUT /api/brands/{id}/slots. Preview with GET /api/schedule/next-slot.
  • NewAPI reference at /docs/: every endpoint with a copyable curl, Node and Python example, the network options, errors, rate limits and idempotency, a search box, a Markdown copy of each page, and a changelog of the API schema.
  • ImprovedEvery network option is documented in the OpenAPI spec (NetworkOptions): TikTok privacy, duet, stitch, comments, disclosure and AI label; YouTube privacy, tags, thumbnail and AI label; Instagram and Facebook post type and trial reels; LinkedIn first comment and documents; alt text.
  • ImprovedRate limits answer 429 with code rate_limited and a Retry-After header.
  • Fixedoptions.youtube.privacy now wins over the privacy saved for the channel: a video sent as public to a channel saved as private went out private.
  • FixedTelegram: posts to the same chat are spaced (one every 3 seconds in a group, one a second in a private chat). When Telegram still asks for a wait longer than the request has, that network is queued for right after the wait (status scheduled, with a schedule_id) instead of failing.
  • FixedFacebook Reels and video Stories: when Facebook cannot fetch the video link itself (its uploader got a 403 from some hosts), PostWire uploads the file to Facebook directly. Facebook's own reason is now shown instead of "upload failed (422)".
  • FixedInstagram error 2207076: PostWire checks the link after the error. An expired or private link is named as such, and when the link is fine the post is tried once more with a new container. The old message wrongly said the link was reachable.

October 2, 2026

  • New3-day Pro trial, offered after the first published post.
  • ChangedFree plan for new accounts: 20 posts a month, 2 networks per post and 3 scheduled posts at a time. Every network still connects, and the AI still writes a version for each. Networks or posts over the limit are kept as held and go out after an upgrade; they are never dropped silently. Accounts created before the change keep the old limits until 1 November.
  • ImprovedTelegram and Discord connections are checked when they are connected and in the health check, so a revoked bot token or a deleted Discord webhook shows up before a post fails.
  • FixedThe MCP server answers clients that only accept JSON. They used to get a 406 and could not call any tool.
  • FixedA LinkedIn first comment that fails is retried on its own later; the post is never sent twice.
  • FixedIds that are not valid answer 404 not_found instead of a database error.

October 1, 2026

  • ImprovedThe MCP tool schedule_post takes privacy. TikTok and YouTube posts scheduled from Claude used to go out private.
  • ImprovedOpenAPI documents per_platform drafts, options, brand_id and idempotency_key on POST /api/post, and lists only networks that can be connected.
  • FixedHashtags that mix Latin and look-alike Cyrillic letters are folded to Latin.
  • FixedDashboard first run: errors shown next to the button, plan buttons and the queue fit on phones.

September 30, 2026

  • NewUploads up to 1 GB: large files go up in parts and come back as one media_url.
  • NewAccount endpoints: /api/account, /api/usage, /api/plan, /api/billing and /api/connections.
  • ImprovedPublishing can no longer run out of time. A large YouTube or TikTok upload continues on the next run instead of failing.
  • ImprovedInstagram videos publish in two phases, so a slow Reel is no longer failed while Instagram is still processing it.
  • ImprovedGoogle Drive, Dropbox and OneDrive share links become direct file links. A link that cannot work says why.
  • FixedPOST /api/generate reads the fields n8n sends.

September 29, 2026

  • NewAI-content labels: options.tiktok.ai_generated and options.youtube.ai_generated.
  • NewInstagram trial reels: options.instagram.trial_reel.
  • ImprovedPNG, WebP and AVIF photos are converted to JPEG automatically for Instagram and TikTok.
  • FixedInstagram carousels: items upload in parallel, and a post Instagram did publish is no longer reported as failed after a timeout.

September 27, 2026

  • NewWhat works: your best posts against your own median, the patterns behind them, and Replicate to write new posts modelled on a winner (/api/insights).

September 26, 2026

  • NewMulti-image posts: Instagram carousels, TikTok photo posts, Bluesky and Mastodon image sets with alt text, LinkedIn multi-image and document posts.
  • NewOAuth 2.1 sign-in for the MCP server, so PostWire works as a Claude and ChatGPT connector, and six new MCP tools (plan_week, list_brands, create_brand, create_upload_link, get_uploaded_file, get_upgrade_link).
  • NewLinkedIn first comment (options.linkedin.first_comment), for links that should not sit in the post.
  • NewPer-post numbers collected daily for Bluesky, Mastodon, YouTube, TikTok and LinkedIn.
  • NewBrands: accounts grouped by brand, each with its handle and picture, and moving a connection between brands.
  • ImprovedBluesky and Mastodon credentials are checked with the network before they are saved.
  • ImprovedGet started: write the drafts for each network before connecting anything.
