PostWire Privacy Policy

PostWire ("we") provides an API and MCP service that lets users and their AI agents publish and schedule content to third-party social media platforms they connect.

What we collect

• Account data: email and authentication info to operate your account.
• Connected-platform tokens: OAuth access/refresh tokens for platforms you explicitly connect (e.g. TikTok, Instagram, YouTube). These are stored encrypted and used only to publish the content you request.
• Content you submit: the text, captions, and media you ask us to publish, plus delivery status/metadata.
• Usage data: request logs and basic analytics to run and secure the service.

How we use it

Solely to: authenticate you, publish/schedule the content you request to the platforms you connect, return status and analytics, and operate, secure, and improve the service. We do not sell your data.

Third-party platforms

When you connect a platform, your use of that platform is governed by its own terms and privacy policy. PostWire acts on your behalf only to perform actions you initiate.

Facebook & Instagram (Meta) data

If you connect a Facebook Page or an Instagram professional account, PostWire requests only the permissions needed to publish the content you submit to your own connected accounts. We use information received from the Meta APIs strictly as follows:

• instagram_basic — read your connected Instagram professional account's basic profile (id, username) to identify which account to publish to. Stored: account id/username. Purpose: account identification. Retention: until you disconnect.
• instagram_content_publish — publish the photos, videos, Reels and captions you submit to your own connected Instagram account. We never publish anything you did not explicitly send. Stored: the content you submit + post status.
• pages_manage_posts — publish the posts you submit to the Facebook Page you connect. Purpose: publishing on your behalf.
• pages_read_engagement / pages_show_list — list the Pages you manage so you can choose which one to connect and confirm the connection. Stored: Page id/name of the Page you select.

We do not access your messages, ads, audience lists, insights, or any content beyond what is required to publish what you submit, and we never sell or share this data. PostWire's use and transfer of information received from Meta APIs adheres to the Meta Platform Terms and Meta Developer Policies.

Data retention & deletion

You can disconnect any platform or delete your account at any time, which revokes stored tokens and removes the associated data. We process deletion requests within 30 days.

Security

Tokens and secrets are encrypted at rest. Access is restricted to operating the service.
