TikTok MCP server: let Claude or any agent post your videos to TikTok
https://postwire.io/api/mcp to your agent as a remote MCP server, connect your TikTok account once, and the agent posts a video — or a photo post of up to 35 images — with post_to_social, or queues it with schedule_post, with the caption and who can see it: everyone, friends or only you. PostWire posts through TikTok's official Content Posting API with an app TikTok has audited (approved Jul 7, 2026), so posts can be public and you need no TikTok developer app of your own. The free plan includes TikTok and the MCP server: 1 business, 20 posts a month, 5 AI drafts a day, 2 networks per post, no card.No video yet? make_video_from_text turns the words of a post into an 8–12 second vertical MP4 (1080×1920) that TikTok accepts.
Updated . Written from PostWire's own code; vendor prices read on Oct 8, 2026. Live networks: TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn (personal profiles), Facebook Pages, Bluesky, Mastodon, Telegram, Discord, and X on paid plans.
Set it up and post, step by step
- Add PostWire's MCP server to your agent
In Claude, open PostWire in the connector directory and press Connect. Anywhere else, add the remote server
https://postwire.io/api/mcp(Streamable HTTP; OAuth sign-in or an API key) — in Claude Code:claude mcp add --transport http postwire https://postwire.io/api/mcp. Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf, Codex and Gemini CLI configs: MCP client configs. - Sign in with your email
The first time the agent uses a PostWire tool, a sign-in window asks for your email and a 6-digit code; that also creates a free PostWire account if you have none. No password and no card. Agents that cannot do OAuth send an API key instead (dashboard → API & MCP → Copy key).
- Connect your TikTok account
Ask "connect my TikTok".
create_connect_linkgives you a one-hour link; you sign in on TikTok's own page and allow PostWire to post for you. PostWire never sees your TikTok password. - Get the video or the photos to PostWire
Pass a public https link as
video_url, or photos inmedia. For a file on your phone or laptop, ask for an upload link:create_upload_linkopens a 24-hour page where you pick the file (MP4, MOV or WebM; up to 250 MB on the free plan and 1 GB on paid plans), andget_uploaded_filereturns themedia_urlto post. Chat attachments never reach an MCP server, so this is how your own clip gets there. - Let PostWire write the caption
"Write a TikTok caption for this clip, and the YouTube Shorts title."
generate_postsreturns one draft per network and publishes nothing. TikTok's draft is hook-first: 150–300 characters with the hook at the start, at most 5 hashtags inside the caption, and the keywords the video does not say out loud. - Post it, and say who can see it
After you approve, the agent calls
post_to_social(orschedule_postwithrun_at). TikTok asks that the account owner choose the audience of each post, so say it:privacyis"public","friends"or"private". Without it PostWire posts the video as private (only you) and the result says so.{ "name": "post_to_social", "arguments": { "platforms": ["tiktok"], "per_platform": { "tiktok": { "text": "We cut onboarding from 9 steps to 3 👀 here is what went #saas #onboarding" } }, "video_url": "https://postwire.io/m/…/demo.mp4", "privacy": "public" } } - Check that it is live
TikTok processes the video after it receives it, so the first answer says
processing.get_post_statusreturns TikTok's status and, once it is public, the post's id. A big file that does not finish inside one request carries on from the last 32 MB piece TikTok confirmed, a few minutes later — never from zero.
Comments, duet and stitch switches, TikTok's AI-generated label and the commercial-content disclosures are set through the REST API: POST /api/post with "options": {"tiktok": {"disable_duet": true, "ai_generated": true}}. Photo posts also take photo_cover_index and auto_add_music. Full list: network options.

Where PostWire is ahead
- TikTok is on the free plan, without a card. Upload-Post's free plan leaves TikTok out; Blotato's MCP access is not part of its 7-day trial.
- The caption is written for TikTok, and so is every other network's version:
generate_poststurns one idea into a TikTok caption, a YouTube title with tags and an Instagram caption in one call. - One upload to TikTok, YouTube Shorts and Instagram Reels at once, each with its own text, in one
post_to_socialcall. - No video? Make one:
make_video_from_textrenders an 8–12 s vertical MP4 from the post's words, on every plan. - A post is never made public by accident: with no
privacyit goes out private and the result tells the agent how to publish it to everyone.
- Upload-Post — TikTok MCP server (endpoint, sign-in): www.upload-post.com/mcp/tiktok/
- Upload-Post plans (llms-full.txt: Free 2 profiles, 10 uploads a month, without TikTok; Basic $24, 5 profiles): www.upload-post.com/llms-full.txt
- Blotato — TikTok MCP server (endpoint, sign-in, price, trial): www.blotato.com/mcp/tiktok
- TikTok for Developers — Content Sharing Guidelines (unaudited clients: private only, 5 users per 24 hours): developers.tiktok.com/doc/content-sharing-guidelines

TikTok's rules the agent works within
- Video or photos: TikTok takes no text-only posts. One video, or a photo post of 1 to 35 images; PNG and other stills are converted to JPEG for you, because TikTok takes JPEG or WebP only.
- Caption: up to 2,200 for a video; a photo post has a title of up to 90 and a description of up to 4,000. TikTok counts UTF-16 units, so an emoji counts as 2; PostWire cuts on a whole word and never through an emoji.
- Who can see it: everyone, friends (mutual followers) or only you. If your account does not allow the level you asked for, PostWire posts at the closest level that is not more open, and the result says which.
- Audited app: TikTok restricts every post from an unaudited API client to private viewing and to 5 users per 24 hours (Content Sharing Guidelines, read Oct 8, 2026). PostWire's app passed TikTok's audit, so that limit is not yours to deal with.
- File size: one uploaded file is up to 250 MB on the free plan and 1 GB on paid plans. A video linked from a host that does not report its size is limited to 80 MB, so big files go through the upload link.

What it does not do
PostWire publishes and schedules your own TikTok posts, straight to your profile. It is not a TikTok Ads or TikTok Shop server, it does not send posts to TikTok's drafts inbox, and it does not read or answer comments, download other people's videos or read trends.
Questions people ask
Is there an MCP server that posts to TikTok?
Yes. PostWire's hosted MCP server (https://postwire.io/api/mcp) posts a video or a photo post of up to 35 images to your TikTok account from Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any MCP client, and can schedule it for later. It is in Claude's connector directory.
Do I need a TikTok developer app or an audit?
No. You connect your account to PostWire's TikTok app, which TikTok audited and approved on Jul 7, 2026. An unaudited app can only post privately, for up to 5 users per 24 hours; that is the step you skip.
Will the video be public?
If you ask for it: pass privacy "public", "friends" or "private". TikTok asks that the account owner choose this for each post, so without a value PostWire posts it as private (only you) and says so in the result.
Can it post TikTok photo posts?
Yes. Send 1 to 35 images in media and no video: TikTok publishes them as a swipeable photo post. PNG images are converted to JPEG, the title takes up to 90 and the description up to 4,000.
Is this a TikTok Ads or TikTok Shop MCP server?
No. PostWire publishes and schedules organic posts on your own TikTok profile. It does not manage ad campaigns or Shop products.
How large can the video be?
One uploaded file is up to 250 MB on the free plan and 1 GB on paid plans. PostWire sends it to TikTok in 32 MB pieces and resumes where it stopped, so a large video does not start over.
How much does it cost?
The free plan includes TikTok and the MCP server: 1 business, 20 posts a month, 5 AI drafts a day, 2 networks per post, no card. Starter is $9 a month for 3 businesses and Pro $29 for 10, with every network in each post; paid plans have a 14-day refund.
Try it on one business, free.
