Can Claude post to LinkedIn and Instagram for you? Yes — with a connector

Claude can't post to LinkedIn or Instagram on its own, but it can through a connector that uses each network's official API. PostWire is one, listed in Claude's connector directory since Sept 26, 2026: you add it, sign in with your email, connect LinkedIn (your personal profile) and Instagram (a Business or Creator account), and Claude writes a separate version for each, shows you both and publishes only after you approve.

LinkedIn through PostWire is your personal profile, not a company Page. Instagram needs a photo or a video with every post — if you only have words, PostWire can turn them into an image.

Written from PostWire's own code and checked on Oct 1, 2026. Live networks: TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn (personal profiles), Facebook Pages, Bluesky, Mastodon, Telegram, Discord — not X, Threads, Reddit or Pinterest.

Step by step

  1. Add PostWire from Claude's directory

Open PostWire in Claude's connector directory, press Connect, and check that PostWire is switched on in the chat's tools menu. It works in Claude on the web, desktop and phone. In Claude Code or another client, add https://postwire.io/api/mcp as a custom connector.

  2. Sign in with your email

A 6-digit code creates your free PostWire account inside the sign-in window. If this browser is already signed in to PostWire you choose the account — it is never picked for you.

  3. Connect LinkedIn and Instagram

Ask "connect my LinkedIn", then "connect my Instagram". Each gives a one-hour link (create_connect_link). LinkedIn signs in with your profile; Instagram offers Log in with Instagram (no Facebook Page needed) or through a Facebook Page you manage.

  4. Ask for the posts

"Turn this into posts for LinkedIn and Instagram: we cut onboarding from 9 steps to 3." Claude calls generate_posts and shows two drafts — a longer first-person LinkedIn post and a short Instagram caption — each within its limit.

  5. Give Instagram a picture

Instagram refuses text-only posts. Send a photo through an upload link (create_upload_link, open it on the device with the file), or in the dashboard press Make an image from this post to turn the words into a 4:5 image. LinkedIn takes text alone, or up to 20 images.

  6. Approve and publish — or schedule

Say "post them". Claude asks you to confirm, then post_to_social returns a link per network. "Schedule it for Friday at 9:00 my time" uses schedule_post; "what's scheduled?" lists the queue and any post can be cancelled.

Where the others are ahead of PostWire

  • LinkedIn company Pages: several connectors (Windsor.ai, among others) publish to Pages. PostWire posts to personal profiles only.
  • Partner tier: Typefully and Metricool are listed as partner connectors. PostWire is a community connector.
  • Analytics: Metricool reports on your accounts. PostWire's What works only ranks your posts against your own median.

Questions people ask

Can Claude post to LinkedIn for me?

Yes, through a connector. With PostWire added from Claude's connector directory, Claude writes the LinkedIn post, shows it to you and publishes it to your personal profile after you approve. It cannot post to a LinkedIn company Page through PostWire.

Is it safe for my LinkedIn account?

PostWire posts through LinkedIn's official API with the permission you grant at sign-in (w_member_social). There is no browser automation or password sharing, and you can disconnect at any time.

Can Claude post to Instagram?

Yes, to an Instagram Business or Creator account connected to PostWire. Every Instagram post needs a photo or a video; a video goes out as a Reel, several photos as a carousel.

Will Claude publish without asking me?

No. PostWire's tools that publish (post_to_social, schedule_post, plan_week) are run only after you confirm the exact text and networks.

Can it schedule a week of LinkedIn posts?

Yes. Ask Claude to "plan next week of posts about …": plan_week writes up to 7 days, a different angle each day, and queues them at your hour.

How much does it cost?

Free for one business (30 posts a month, 15 AI drafts a day). Starter is $9/month for 3 businesses; Pro $29 for 10. Paid plans have a 14-day refund.
