How to schedule social media posts with Claude

Claude schedules social posts through a connector: add PostWire from Claude's connector directory, connect your networks, then say "schedule this for Friday at 9:00 my time". Claude writes a version per network (generate_posts), asks you to approve it, and queues it with schedule_post; "plan next week of posts about …" fills up to 7 days at once with plan_week, and "what's scheduled?" lists the queue.

Scheduled posts are published by PostWire's servers, so your computer and the chat can be closed. Any queued post can be cancelled before it goes out.

Written from PostWire's own code and checked on Oct 1, 2026. Live networks: TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn (personal profiles), Facebook Pages, Bluesky, Mastodon, Telegram, Discord — not X, Threads, Reddit or Pinterest.

Step by step

  1. Add PostWire to Claude

From Claude's connector directory press Connect (web, desktop or phone), or in Claude Code run claude mcp add --transport http postwire https://postwire.io/api/mcp. Then sign in with your email — a 6-digit code, no card.

  2. Connect the networks you post to

"Connect my LinkedIn and Bluesky" — each gives a one-hour link. Live networks: TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn (personal profiles), Facebook Pages, Bluesky, Mastodon, Telegram and Discord.

  3. Tell Claude your time zone

Scheduling needs a time with an offset (run_at, ISO 8601, up to 365 days ahead). Say "I'm in Lima" or "9:00 New York time" once and Claude uses it.

  4. Schedule one post

"Write a post about our new menu for LinkedIn and Instagram and schedule it for Friday 9:00." Claude shows the drafts, you approve, and schedule_post queues it. Instagram, TikTok and YouTube need a photo or video — Claude gives you an upload link for it.

  5. Or plan the whole week

"Plan next week of posts about our bakery for LinkedIn and Bluesky, 9 am." plan_week writes up to 7 days, a different angle each day, one version per network, and queues them. It is for text networks; video networks are scheduled one post at a time.

  6. Check and change the queue

"What's scheduled?" → list_scheduled_posts. "Cancel Friday's post" → cancel_scheduled_post. The same queue is on the dashboard's Queue page, with Reschedule and Cancel.

From an AI agent instead of a chat

Any MCP client or agent framework can use the same server (https://postwire.io/api/mcp, Streamable HTTP, OAuth 2.1 or an API key). Without MCP, the REST call is:

curl -X POST https://postwire.io/api/schedule \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer pw_live_…" -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"run_at":"2026-10-09T09:00:00-05:00","platforms":["linkedin","bluesky"],"text":"Launch day.","label":"Launch"}'

Configs for Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code and Windsurf are on MCP client configs; a guide your agent can follow is agent.md.
