How to post a video to TikTok from Make.com
https://postwire.io/api/post with your API key, the video URL and "privacy": "public" — and the same call can post to Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts.PostWire's own Make app is in Make's review queue (submitted Sept 8, 2026). Until it is listed, the HTTP module does exactly what the app will do.
Written from PostWire's own code and checked on Oct 1, 2026. Live networks: TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn (personal profiles), Facebook Pages, Bluesky, Mastodon, Telegram, Discord — not X, Threads, Reddit or Pinterest.
Step by step
- Create a free PostWire account
Open postwire.io/dashboard.html, type your email and press Create my free account. PostWire emails you a link to confirm the address; connecting accounts and publishing unlock once it is confirmed. No password and no card (free plan: 1 business, 30 posts a month, 15 AI drafts a day, every live network, no card).
- Connect TikTok (and Instagram, YouTube if you want them)
Accounts → Connect → Continue to TikTok. You sign in on TikTok; PostWire's Direct Post approval (audited July 7, 2026) means posts can be public.
- Copy your API key
In the dashboard, open API & MCP and press Copy key on the API key card. It is sent as
Authorization: Bearer pw_live_…(theX-API-Keyheader also works). Keep it server-side. - Add Make's HTTP module
In your scenario, after the step that produces the video (Google Drive, Dropbox, an AI video tool), add HTTP → Make a request. URL
https://postwire.io/api/post, Method POST, headerAuthorization=Bearer pw_live_…, Body type Raw, Content type JSON (application/json). - Put the video URL and caption in the body
The video URL must be public and point at the file (up to 1 GB). Map the fields from earlier modules:
{ "platforms": ["tiktok", "instagram", "youtube"], "video_url": "{{1.video_url}}", "text": "{{1.caption}}", "title": "{{1.title}}", "privacy": "public", "idempotency_key": "{{1.id}}" } - Want a caption written per network?
Add one more HTTP module before it: POST
https://postwire.io/api/generatewith{"prompt":"{{1.description}}","platforms":["tiktok","instagram","youtube"],"media_url":"{{1.video_url}}"}, then send itsdraftsasper_platforminstead oftext. - Run it once and check
The response lists each network's result and link. TikTok and YouTube keep processing for a moment;
GET https://postwire.io/api/post/statusreports when the post is live. To publish later, POST to/api/schedulewith arun_at(ISO 8601 with offset).
Without "privacy": "public" the TikTok post is private (only you can see it) — that is TikTok's rule for API posts without an explicit choice. Sending the same payload twice within 2 minutes is refused, and with an idempotency_key for 24 hours, so a re-run never double-posts.

Questions people ask
Can Make.com post videos to TikTok?
Not with Make's own TikTok app, which (on Oct 1, 2026) listed campaign, ads and generic API-call modules but no video publishing module. Use the HTTP module to call a posting API with TikTok's Direct Post approval, such as PostWire.
Why are my TikTok posts from the API private?
TikTok forces private (SELF_ONLY) visibility for apps that have not passed its audit, and through PostWire a post without a privacy value is private too. Send "privacy": "public" — PostWire's app passed TikTok's audit on July 7, 2026.
Is there a PostWire app in Make?
It was submitted to Make's review on Sept 8, 2026 and is not listed yet. The HTTP → Make a request module with the REST API does the same thing.
Can the same scenario post to Instagram and YouTube?
Yes — put "tiktok", "instagram" and "youtube" in platforms. Instagram publishes the video as a Reel; YouTube needs a title.
What does it cost?
PostWire is free for one business (30 posts a month, TikTok included); Make's own operations are billed by Make.
Try it on one business, free.
The free plan is 1 business on every live network, 30 posts a month and 15 AI drafts a day — no card, no time limit. Paid plans start at $9 a month and have a 14-day refund.
