How to post your Etsy product videos to TikTok from ChatGPT or Claude
post_to_social or schedules it with schedule_post through TikTok's official Content Posting API. The free plan includes TikTok: 1 business, 10 posts a month, 5 AI drafts a day, 2 networks per post, no card. The same request can send the clip to Instagram as a Reel or to your Facebook Page, each with its own caption.A listing video you already made for Etsy is a good start: Etsy keeps listing videos to 3-15 seconds and 100 MB at most and plays them without sound, so the file on your phone fits PostWire's free-plan limit as it is, and on TikTok it plays with its sound. A shop with photos and no video can post a TikTok photo post of up to 35 images instead.
Updated . Written from PostWire's own code; vendor prices read on Nov 6, 2026. Live networks: TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn (personal profiles), Facebook Pages, Bluesky, Mastodon, Telegram, Discord, and X on paid plans.
Set it up and post, step by step
Prompt to copy once TikTok is connected: I sell handmade birthday cards on Etsy. Write a TikTok caption for this video of the new pressed-flower card, mention my shop name "Paper Meadow", show it to me, and post it public tonight at 7pm my time.
- Add PostWire to ChatGPT or Claude
In ChatGPT, open PostWire in the app directory (or search for PostWire in ChatGPT's apps) and add it. In Claude, open PostWire in the connector directory and press Connect; it works on the web, the desktop app and the phone. A sign-in window asks for your email and a 6-digit code, which also creates a free PostWire account if you have none: no password and no card.
- Connect your TikTok account
Ask "connect my TikTok". The assistant calls
create_connect_linkand gives you a one-hour link; open it, sign in on TikTok's own page and allow PostWire to post. You do it once, and the assistant never sees your TikTok password. - Send the product video from your phone
Say "I want to post a video". A file attached to the chat does not reach a connector, so the assistant gives you an upload page (
create_upload_link): open it on the phone or laptop that has the clip and pick the file, up to 100 MB on the free plan and 1 GB on paid plans. Then say "uploaded" and it reads the file withget_uploaded_file. MP4 and MOV both work. - Or use your listing photos
No video for this product? Give the assistant the photos (through the same upload page, or the public https links of the images) and it makes a TikTok photo post of 1 to 35 images; PNG files are turned into JPEG for you.
- Tell it about the product and approve the caption
Say what it is, who it is for and the shop's name.
generate_postsreturns a draft and publishes nothing: a first line that stops the scroll and a few specific hashtags, within TikTok's 2,200 characters. Ask for changes in plain words. Then say who can see it: public, friends or private. TikTok asks the account owner to choose for every post; if nobody chooses, PostWire posts it private and says so. - Post now, or schedule the week
Say "post it" and the assistant calls
post_to_social. Say "schedule it for Friday at 7pm" and it callsschedule_post, up to 365 days ahead. This is the call it makes:{ "name": "schedule_post", "arguments": { "platforms": ["tiktok"], "per_platform": { "tiktok": { "text": "Pressed flowers, one at a time 🌼 New birthday card in the Paper Meadow shop on Etsy. #handmadecards #etsyseller #pressedflowers" } }, "video_url": "https://postwire.io/m/…/pressed-flower-card.mp4", "privacy": "public", "run_at": "2026-11-13T19:00:00-05:00" } } - Get the TikTok link
TikTok processes the video after the call returns. The assistant checks with
get_post_statusuntil it has the TikTok link, usually within a minute or two. If TikTok refuses the video, the answer says what happened and what to change.
"What's scheduled on TikTok?" calls list_scheduled_posts and "cancel Friday's video" calls cancel_scheduled_post; the same queue is on the dashboard's Queue page. Prefer to try it by hand first? Open the dashboard, connect TikTok under Accounts and post the same video from the composer.

Where PostWire is ahead
- TikTok on the free plan: 10 posts a month, no card and no time limit. Upload-Post's free plan leaves TikTok out; Postiz starts with a 7-day trial.
- The cheapest paid plan here: $19 a month for 3 businesses. Upload-Post $24, Postiz $29.
- The video comes from your phone:
create_upload_linkgives a page to open on the device that has the clip, so nothing has to be online first. - One caption per network: the TikTok caption, the Instagram caption and the Facebook post come from one description of the product.
- Photos are enough: up to 35 listing photos make one TikTok photo post.
- Upload-Post — Post to Social Media with ChatGPT ("Official ChatGPT plugin", listed in ChatGPT's Plugins; the same server works in Claude; "Free to start, no credit card"): www.upload-post.com/chatgpt-social-media/
- Upload-Post llms-full.txt (Free plan: 10 uploads a month, "platforms without TikTok"; Basic $24 a month, 5 profiles): www.upload-post.com/llms-full.txt

One product clip, Etsy and TikTok: what each takes
Etsy's listing-video rules, read on Etsy's help center on Nov 6, 2026, next to what PostWire sends to TikTok:
| Etsy listing video | TikTok through PostWire | |
|---|---|---|
| Length | 3 to 15 seconds | The clip as you upload it |
| File size | Up to 100 MB | up to 100 MB on the free plan and 1 GB on paid plans |
| Sound | Removed once uploaded to the listing | Kept: TikTok plays the file with its sound |
| Shape | 2:1 or 1:2, at least 500px (1080px is ideal) | Vertical works best on TikTok's feed |
| How many | Two videos per listing | One video, or 1 to 35 photos, per post |
| Words around it | Your listing title and description | A caption of up to 2,200 characters, written for TikTok by generate_posts |
So the same short vertical clip can go on the listing and on TikTok. Keep the original file with its sound for TikTok: the copy on Etsy is silent.

What sellers ask the assistant to do
- A new listing, announced the same day: "post the video of the new frame to TikTok, public, and say it's in the shop".
- A week of products in one sitting: upload five clips, then "schedule one a day at 7pm, Monday to Friday, each with its own caption". The free plan keeps 3 posts waiting at once; paid plans have no such limit.
- The same clip on Instagram and Facebook: "post it to TikTok and as an Instagram Reel" sends each its own caption. Instagram offers Log in with Instagram (no Facebook Page needed) or through a Facebook Page you manage. On the free plan one post reaches 2 networks; paid plans send it to every network you connected.
- No video yet:
make_video_from_textturns a few lines ("Pressed-flower cards. Made by hand. New in the shop.") into an 8-12 second vertical video with plain moving background, to show you before anything is posted. It does not use your product photos. - A seasonal reminder that repeats: on paid plans,
create_recurring_postposts a photo or a video every week with versions of the caption used in turn.
What Starter ($19 a month) adds for a shop
- No limit on the queue: schedule a month of product videos at once, instead of 3 at a time.
- 25 recurring posts: a weekly "new in the shop" video or a Friday reminder, set once.
- 3 businesses: an Etsy shop and a second brand each with their own TikTok, Instagram and Facebook.
- Every network in each post: TikTok, an Instagram Reel, a Facebook Page and YouTube Shorts from one request, and files 1 GB on paid plans.
Plans and prices: pricing. Paid plans have a 14-day refund.
What it does not do
PostWire does not read your Etsy shop or listings: you tell the assistant about the product, or paste the listing text into the chat. It does not edit, cut or add TikTok sounds to the video, does not tag TikTok Shop products, and does not read or answer comments. TikTok's "Your brand" disclosure (for a video that promotes your own business) is a switch in the dashboard's TikTok options, under Disclose video content, and a field of the REST API; the chat tools post without it.
Questions people ask
Can ChatGPT post my Etsy product videos to TikTok?
Yes, with an app. ChatGPT publishes nothing by itself; with PostWire added from ChatGPT's app directory and your TikTok connected once, it writes the caption, takes the video through an upload link and posts or schedules it on TikTok after you approve.
Can Claude post to TikTok for my Etsy shop?
Yes. Press Connect on PostWire in Claude's connector directory, connect TikTok once, and ask Claude to post or schedule the video. It works in Claude on the web, the desktop app and the phone.
Does PostWire connect to my Etsy shop?
No. PostWire does not read Etsy. You give the assistant the video or photos and tell it about the product (or paste the listing text), and it writes and posts the TikTok.
Can I use my Etsy listing video on TikTok?
Yes. Etsy listing videos are 3 to 15 seconds and up to 100 MB, so the file fits PostWire's free-plan limit of 100 MB. Use the original file from your phone: Etsy removes the sound from the copy on the listing, and TikTok plays the video with its sound.
Can I post product photos instead of a video?
Yes. TikTok takes a photo post of 1 to 35 images. Give the assistant the photos and it posts them as one TikTok photo post; PNG files are turned into JPEG.
Why did my TikTok go out as private?
TikTok asks the account owner to choose who can see each post. If nobody chooses, PostWire posts it private and the answer says so. Say "public" when you ask, and it is sent as public.
How much does it cost?
The free plan includes TikTok and the ChatGPT and Claude apps: 1 business, 10 posts a month, 5 AI drafts a day, 2 networks per post, no card. Starter is $19 a month for 3 businesses, with no limit on the queue and 25 recurring posts; Pro is $29 for 10. Paid plans have a 14-day refund.
Try it on one business, free.
The free plan is 1 business, 10 posts a month, 5 AI drafts a day (about 20 a month) and 2 networks per post — every network connects free, no card, no time limit. Paid plans start at $19 a month and have a 14-day refund; Pro can be tried free for 7 days and Agency for 14, with a card at checkout and nothing charged that day.
