Metricool alternative: same per-brand idea, and each network's post written for you

Metricool is the closest thing to PostWire's pricing: it charges per brand, and its MCP server publishes on every plan. It is also a full analytics and ads-reporting suite. What it doesn't do is write each network's post for you on the server — through its MCP, your AI assistant writes the text.

Short answer. If you want analytics, ads reporting, X, Threads or Pinterest, Metricool gives you more. If you want each network's post written from one idea — over REST, n8n or MCP — PostWire does that, and 10 brands cost $29 a month against $45.

Every Metricool price and feature here was read on Metricool's own pages on Sept 26, 2026, with the link next to it. If they changed since, their page wins.

What Metricool does better

  • Analytics and ads reporting across networks and brands. PostWire has no analytics.
  • An MCP server on the free plan, in Claude's connector directory. PostWire's works on the free plan too, but it's not in the directories yet.
  • X, Threads, Pinterest and Google Business Profile (X as a paid add-on). Not on PostWire yet.
  • A large, established product with a planner, a link-in-bio and team features. PostWire only writes, publishes and schedules.

When to pick which

Pick Metricool if…

  • You report results to clients and need analytics and ads data.
  • You need X, Threads or Pinterest.
  • You mainly work inside Claude and are happy for Claude to write each post.

Pick PostWire if…

  • You want the per-network writing done on the server — useful where there's no AI assistant at the wheel: n8n, Make, your backend.
  • You want a REST API from the free plan (Metricool's API is on its higher plans).
  • You want TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and LinkedIn on the free plan.

10 businesses on 5 networks each: the monthly bill

An agency or a freelancer with ten clients, each on five networks, about 20 posts per client a month. That is 50 connected accounts, which is where the pricing unit decides the bill.

What “a different post per network” means

Metricool publishes the text you send it. PostWire writes each network's version first — a hook for TikTok, a searchable title and tags for YouTube, a longer first-person post for LinkedIn — and then publishes them.

Just listed — and this one genuinely excites me. A 3-bedroom house, big backyard, 10 minutes from downtown. In today's market, that combination is harder to find than people think. Here's what makes this listing stand out: 🏡 3 spacious bedrooms 🌿 A backyard big enough to actually use — BBQs, gardens, kids, dogs, you name it 📍 10-minute drive to downtown — close enough to enjoy the city, far enough to breathe I work with a lot of buyers who tell me they've been waiting for something like this. A home that doesn't force you to choose between location and space. This one doesn't make you choose. If you or someone you know has been on the fence about buying — sometimes the right listing changes everything. Open House is this Sunday from 1 to 4 PM. No pressure. Just come take a look, walk the yard, get a feel for the neighborhood. These are the moments that turn "we're still looking" into "this is the one." I'd love to see you there — or feel free to reach out if you'd like details before Sunday. What's the one feature that would make a house feel like home to you? 👇 #RealEstate #JustListed #OpenHouse

Questions people ask

Is PostWire a good Metricool alternative?

Yes, if you like per-brand pricing and want each network's post written for you, including over REST and n8n. No, if you need analytics, ads reporting, X, Threads or Pinterest — Metricool covers those.

What does Metricool do better than PostWire?

Analytics and ads reporting across networks and brands. PostWire has no analytics. An MCP server on the free plan, in Claude's connector directory. PostWire's works on the free plan too, but it's not in the directories yet. X, Threads, Pinterest and Google Business Profile (X as a paid add-on). Not on PostWire yet. A large, established product with a planner, a link-in-bio and team features. PostWire only writes, publishes and schedules.

How much does Metricool cost compared to PostWire?

Metricool charges per brand (a business or client), in tiers; its cheapest paid plan is $25 a month (Starter, 5 brands; $20 billed yearly) (read on Sept 26, 2026 from https://metricool.com/pricing/). PostWire charges per business with every network included: Free for 1 business, $9 for 3, $29 for 10, $99 for 50. For 10 businesses on 5 networks each: $45 on Metricool against $29 on PostWire.

Does PostWire post to X or Reddit?

Not yet. X and Reddit are not available on PostWire today; Reddit is waiting on Reddit's API access approval. Live today: TikTok, Instagram, Facebook Pages, YouTube, LinkedIn (personal profiles), Bluesky, Mastodon, Telegram and Discord.

Metricool's MCP can publish too — what's the difference?

Both MCP servers publish. With Metricool's, your AI assistant writes each network's text and passes it in. PostWire's server writes the native version for each network itself (generate_posts), so the same result is available from n8n, Make or a plain API call, where there's no assistant to write it.

Is there a free plan and a refund?

Yes. The free plan covers 1 business, 30 posts a month, every live network, no card and no time limit. Paid plans can be refunded in full within 14 days of the first payment, through the support form.

Type one idea and see the post each network gets.

The demo on the home page writes live, with no account, and never publishes. The free plan covers one business on every live network, with no card and no time limit. Paid plans have a 14-day refund.
